Chris & Tahlia’s 1940′s Themed Wedding in Fleggburgh, Norfolk

Chris and Tahlia got married a couple of weeks ago and as both of them are fans of the 1940s, their wedding was themed around this period. There was huge attention to detail in the decorations and the clothes that they wore (even down to sandbags round the reception hall!) It seems odd given the recent heatwave that only a couple of weeks ago it was cold and wet and although the weather wasn’t the greatest for getting married, the low clouds and misty rain produced some beautiful soft light that was fantastic for their pictures.

Given their love of the wartime era I thought I would give some of their pictures a vintage look to complement the theme of the day. I started by shooting some detail shots in their house.

Tim & Jolene’s wedding at Caister Hall Norfolk

I recently photographed the wedding of Tim and Jolene at Caister Hall just outside Norwich. Jolene’s family is from Singapore and unfortunately the recent volcanic ash fiasco meant that some of their guests were unable to make the trip over to the UK (even her parents thought they would miss the wedding up until the Wednesday before). Other guests were quickly rounded up to fill the empty spaces however and the table plan redrawn and all in all a great day was had by all. The weather was very kind to them on the day and allowed everyone to enjoy the gardens.
