Photographic style

Our style is essentially reportage or photojournalistic – a fancy way of saying that for most of the day we try to remain as unobtrusive as possible, hovering in the background, capturing those moments of your wedding that portray the real essence of the occasion. After the ceremony we will also spend time with you both to ensure that we capture some beautiful images of the two of you that you can treasure for years to come. We will discuss the sort of shots you prefer and coverage can be tailored according to taste

 

Pricing

For weddings during peak season (April to September inclusive) we charge £1700. Weddings outside of these months are charged at £1500. This fee includes coverage by both John and Phil up to your first dance, all edited images on disc in both high resolution and low resolution formats, a dedicated online gallery and a DVD slideshow with your choice of up to three music tracks. Additional discounts for midweek and short-coverage weddings are also available. Please see the Pricing page for more details.

 

Making a booking

In order to secure a booking, a non-refundable booking fee of £250 is required. The remaining balance is due 6 weeks before the wedding day.

 

Turnaround time

We aim to complete the processing of your images within 2 weeks of your wedding (although this may be longer during the peak wedding season).

 

Proof viewing and reprint ordering

Once your images have been processed we love couples to come to the studio for a relaxing evening to view a slideshow of their pictures as we feel this gives the best possible first viewing experience. Following this, friends and relatives will then be able to see your pictures via a dedicated online gallery. Reprints can be purchased directly from the website to save you the hassle of having to organise print orders.

 

Wedding albums

We aim to be as flexible as possible and do not insist that clients have to purchase an album to make a booking but to make the most of your images we offer a range of beautiful handmade album from Jorgensen of Australia, one of the premier album manufacturers in the world.

The choice of album style and size can be made either at the time of booking or following your wedding and we will then take your favourite images and produce a draft design which will be sent to you for approval. Once you are happy with the layout, delivery of the album usually takes around 4-6 weeks (although this may be longer at peak periods). Album prices start at £240.

 

Additional products

In addition to albums, we supply a wide variety of other products such as acrylic blocks, canvas wraps and framed prints. If you have any specific requirements or would just like to know what’s available please let us know.

 

How long are images kept?

All client images are held for 12 months. Additional product orders can be placed at any time during this period.

 

Paying us a visit

Before taking a wedding booking, we normally try to meet prospective clients on a no-obligation basis at the studio. This gives you the opportunity to meet us, discuss the sort of coverage that you’d like and to see the quality of our work and the sort of albums that we offer. If you subsequently choose to book with us, the next contact with you will be approximately 6-8 weeks before your wedding to run through timings and locations in detail and to prepare a list of any group shots that you may require. You are of course welcome to contact us at any time in the intervening period if there’s anything you wish to discuss or want clarified.

 

Printers

We use one of the top professional printing laboratories in the country. Only the best quality paper, ink and printers are used and all photographs are guaranteed not to fade unlike those produced by high street printers and some cheaper printing houses.

 

Insurance

We have both third party liability and professional indemnity insurance to cover him as a photographer. Further details can be provided on request.
